  -   What do you know about a country boy?

  -   Which words characterize a country boy or life?

honest peaceful intolerant calm

complex scheduled plain worried

simple materialistic altruistic selfish

  -  Do you know about ‘science or knowledge’?

  - Is there any relationship between ‘science and happiness’?

2. Main Activities

 

Read the text and write the unfamiliar words on the board.

  - Sort out the words into their parts of speech after discussing the meaning.

  - Check out whether your selections of words you chose in the brainstorming match.

  -  Now assign the statements into their categories based on the story and add some more:

a.      The calmness of the place brings a peacefulness of people’s heart.

b.      Science is a new hope of happiness.

c.       People love to be rich.

3. Reflection and discussion

  - Why does a country boy want to be a scientist?

  - Do you think a country can change into a city?

     or how do you know if it doesn’t?
